Sandy Cleary
Master-level Usui Reiki Practitioner and Teacher
After a decades-long career in the performing arts as a manager, producer, and educator – alongside single-parenting her two daughters – Sandy experienced severe burnout and associated chronic health issues. During this time, she was introduced to the healing art of Reiki in a mainstream, therapeutic setting. Receiving regular Reiki treatments became the key to her physical, emotional, and energetic restoration.
Sandy began her Reiki studies with Dr. Pamela Youngquist and received her certification as a First Degree Reiki Practitioner in 2017. In 2019, when she became the primary caretaker for her adult daughter battling life-threatening neurological Lyme Disease, she decided to deepen her commitment to Reiki in order to help. During that battle, her daughter also became a practitioner, and together, in 2021, they opened Back to Heart Center and began public practice. In 2023, Sandy began training with renowned Reiki scholar, author, and Reiki shihan (master-level teacher) Nicholas Pearson, receiving her Master/Teacher certification. Sandy is a perpetual student, passionate teacher, and devoted practitioner of the system of Usui Reiki.
REIKI TRAINING: CLASSES & MENTORSHIP
As a Reiki teacher, Sandy offers both group and private courses in the study and application of Reiki. Classes offer initiation (also known as attunement) into the system and lineage of Usui Reiki and ongoing mentorship through the system’s progressive levels.
Sandy is currently welcoming students for Reiki Level 1, Shoden (the entrance teachings) on a rolling basis. She also offers support to practitioners from any Reiki lineage seeking to reinvigorate, deepen, or further their Reiki practice and study.
